Streets of Kabul

This time there's a report from a particular station: Kabul. I'll stop myself here about 4 weeks. We've been here about 1 week before I start with angekommen.Trotzdem the journey to here. There is a huge hype around the issue of security. Even before the trip a huge effort. The more we were curious how it would look really here now. The flight to Kabul was interesting.

Since there is no direct flight available and fit together the times of flights very bad and also because of the availability of flights we made a stopover in Dubai. From there we went with Safi Airways to Kabul. the weather is clear and we have all the time an excellent view of the countryside. Two massive volcanoes in Iran (Bazman and Taftan). A vast landscape. Right impressively, it will be during the approach to Kabul. Surrounded by huge mountains. The level indicator is at about 5000 meters and the surrounding mountains are sometimes higher. It goes into a valley to Kabul, and we land at an airport that looks pretty much militarily.

Upon arrival, we should tell anyone that we have arrived and would then tell us where we can find the driver. At the airport itself was not a collector to find. So we have called. The driver along with car parking area is on C. Before the airport itself is a gaping void.

We therefore first time just follow the other. There are signs: Parking Lot A, Parking Lot B, .... somehow do not see a C. We are looking around a bit. Then we find C painted on a fence. But there is no way out leads. We ask one of the many lounging positions. According to C down the road and turn right. About. 5 minutes walk. Rather strange. A huge effort because of the security and the first runs the hundreds of meters with their luggage through Kabul.
