Barong and Keris dance
On the second day we took a trip around the island. We rented a car and driver for the day. The costs were $ 50. Entrance fees and charges extra. The first stop was a temple in which there was a Balinese dance performance. It is called "barong and keris" dance. The whole is about the constant struggle between good and evil. Barong is a mythical creature which embodies the good. Opponent is the witch Rangda, which occurs in all possible shapes.
At the end wins neither good nor evil but the balance of power is restored. According to the Hindu beliefs of the Balinese, there is good and evil coexist. The whole thing is a drama in 7 to 8 acts. In the final battle against the followers of the Barong enter the witch with her Kerissen (Malay dagger) against evil. You are vezaubert of the witch so they verlwtztwn with the daggers or even kill. Then you will see the Barong and lifts the spell again. At the end, dressed in white priest and sprinkled with holy water all involved.
