.. goes on the EM. Unfortunately, I find no suitable rhyme not the bumps. But the first I ever find good ;) .
So now I'm back in Manila. Yesterday around 12:00 clock time I was in the hotel. After a shower and some rest, I immediately wanted to go visit friends once. Well kept out of the hotel (Mandarin Oriental) and for a taxi. It just started raining. Directly in front of the hotel exit there was a taxi. The driver wanted 200 pesos for a ride which usually costs about 70th I got out again. He probably knew or suspected what was to come immediately. As soon as I was outside again, it started raining like crazy. I escaped with a small tree, the first time offered some protection. The next taxi drove past. I was about to pay 200, but since then stopped at one. No sooner did I sit inside, it got started. "Like cats and dogs" is the sheer understatement. As if someone pulled the Klospühlung. Within a minute, the streets were under water. I was glad to be in a taxi. Now it was, more or less, at walking pace towards the goal. More just was not drinne. Because of the road and because of the view. I've reached my goal but surely.

Later that night, then was the question: Where can you watch football? 3 minutes walk from the hotel is the "Heckel and Jeckel". I went to look so 10 times, whether to offer the football. The opportunity seemed great. In the past, football games were shown here. In addition, there is a bar run by a Dutchman and many of the guests are also Dutch. The conditions seemed so perfect ;)
There was also this: The game was shown at 2:45 in the morning live on three large screens. I still go to the hotel and have a cap of sleeping. Around 2:30 am then clock wavered towards Heckel. Not because I already had one in the tea. No. It was now quite windy. I had trouble to keep me on my feet. Therefore hath not rained. The store was crowded, smoky and quite humid. Was I did not care. The main thing to see the Dutch suffer ;) That worked quite well. Until shortly after the Russians 1-0. Suddenly, the image on all screens away. We waited a while, but it did not look like that would happen next. Then the message went the rounds that in a bar a few doors down, the game was shown. As it turned out, it had blown the dish from the roof of the Heckel.
So we are drawn further. A colleague was in a car. Already aboard was a bit difficult. The wind ripped the door from an almost obvious. When we arrived at the shop, it was just 1-1. The present Dutch celebrated as if they were already champions. Then it went into overtime. Shortly after the break shot, it went "bang" and the whole place was dark. After about 3 minutes, it went further. Most bars here have a generator. It is quite common that a power failure. In the case of the typhoon was also to blame. But then it went on. The Russians ran the game as if it had just kicked off and only the Dutch were completely finished next to it. Consequently, the match ended 3-1. Holland is once again died in beauty. Lots of long faces and a couple celebrating Russians.
To be honest: one playoff opponents Holland would have liked it better than the Russians. Then I will fear to Germany. But well, even Germany has not yet reached the finals.
The home was then not too far, but quite exhausting and not particularly dangerous. The wind had abated somewhat, but it rained again. In addition, there was a lot around on the streets and sidewalks. From the neon sign and loose construction fences up to the gate of the hotel entrance. I've also made sure this time to the hotel. Meanwhile, even at breakfast time. So what still fix breakfast and to then off to bed. It is still raining like crazy.

Today I took off from Damascus. Right now I'm sitting in the airport of Bahrain. The flight is Delayed for almost an hour. So tomorrow I will arrive around 12:00 clock in local time (6:00 EST clock) in Manila.

Armes Pferd

Poor horse

Now I'm so again in Damascus. Last Saturday arrived here. On Sunday evening, a colleague took me to a little trip. He wanted to show me his "family". 3 Arabian mares. A friend of him taking care of the horses and be paid for. So we are down there. Is a little bit outside of Damascus. I was greeted warmly. There were to drink tea and it was a lot of chatter. I did not understand much. Except none of my colleagues spoke English.

Teerunde am Abend

Tea breaks in the evening

Although there but I had some anxiety about the horse, my colleague, I think some should ride a horse. Amazingly, I was pretty well up on the gee-gee. Well it was not really a ride through Damascus. It was just a few laps in the gate. But still. On a "wild" Arabian stallion. The two older mares are pregnant and the youngest is still too small. I have the whole completed without falling off the horse and the horse it has also survived. The colleague said that if I'm the next time for a long time in Damascus, we are sometimes 2 - 3 hours ride. Tuen me now my ass and the horse tired.
In addition, the mate still the proud owner of a real Syrian sheep. That thing looks like it would run into a wall. But it should be just the typical Syrian. And the nose is depressed, the more valuable these things. One of his friends helped me to take a picture of the typical shape of the head of the sheep. Unfortunately, it is not clearly identify what is in the picture the sheep.

Wer ist das Schaaf?

Who is the sheep?
